These terms cover yogasutra.net and the Yoga Sūtras apps. By using them you agree to them.
The content
The Sanskrit text follows the Ānandāśrama edition (1904) as transcribed by Philipp A. Maas for GRETIL (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0). The translations, readings, notes, practices and recordings are ours, made with AI assistance from the sources named in the app, and are drafts not yet reviewed by a Sanskritist. They are for study and reflection, not professional, medical or psychological advice. Practise within your own limits; the practices avoid breath retention and anything strenuous, but stop if anything feels wrong, and ask a qualified teacher.
Drawing cards is a reflective practice, not prediction. Nothing in the app foretells events.
Plus
Plus is offered monthly, yearly or for life. In the iPhone app it is bought through Apple and governed by Apple's terms; subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel in your Apple ID settings, at least 24 hours before the end of the period. On the website it is bought through Stripe and can be cancelled in your account at any time. A deck code gives a year of Plus (lifetime for the full set) to the account that redeems it, and each code works once. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
Your account
Keep your email secure, since sign-in codes are sent there. You can delete your account at any time (Guide › Your progress). We may close accounts that abuse the service.
Use
You may use the app and share links to it freely. Teachers may show the app and print handouts for their own classes; a licence for teacher-training cohorts is available on request. Please don't copy the content wholesale into another product.
No warranty
The app is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate and available but cannot promise it is free of errors or always online. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid us in the past twelve months.
